Terms of sale
Terms of sale
These terms govern every order placed on stowladder.com. Please read them before ordering — by placing an order you accept them.
1. Who you are buying from
Alper Cayiroglu, trading as StowLadder, a sole trader registered in France (micro-entreprise). SIRET 940 512 627 00016 · 3 rue des Pommiers, 91070 Bondoufle, France alpercpro@gmail.com
We sell to consumers in the United Kingdom. Nothing in these terms removes or limits your rights under UK consumer law, which apply to you in full.
2. The products
We sell aluminium telescopic ladders.
What we publish, we have. For every model we print the extended height, the folded height, the width, the weight and the maximum load. Where a figure has not been confirmed by the manufacturer, we leave it blank rather than estimate it. A blank line in a specification table means we do not know, not that the figure is zero.
We make no claim about standards or certification. No European or British standard is displayed anywhere on this site, and none should be inferred from our descriptions or images. If that changes, it will be because we hold the supplier's test report for that exact model.
Photographs are illustrative. The specification table on each product page is what describes the goods.
3. Prices
Prices are in pounds sterling and are the total you pay. Delivery to the United Kingdom is included. There is nothing to pay on delivery.
We may change prices at any time, but never after you have placed an order.
If a price is obviously wrong — a decimal point in the wrong place — we will contact you before dispatching and you can confirm at the correct price or cancel for a full refund.
4. Your order
Your order is an offer to buy. The contract is formed when we send you the dispatch confirmation, not when you pay.
We may refuse an order if the item is out of stock, if the price was wrong, or if we cannot deliver to your address.
5. Payment
Payment is taken at checkout. We never see or store your card details: they go straight to the payment provider.
6. Delivery
See our Delivery policy. Free, anywhere in the UK, 1 to 5 days, tracked.
Risk passes to you when you — or someone you named — take physical possession of the ladder.
7. Cancelling and returning
See our Returns and refunds policy. Thirty days, free, no reason needed.
8. Two-year guarantee
We give a commercial guarantee of two years from the day you receive the ladder. It is given voluntarily, it is in addition to your legal rights, and it does not replace them.
What it covers, against manufacturing and material defects:
- the rung locking mechanisms
- the stiles and the rungs
- the rivets, pins and clips
- the feet and the hooks
If one of them fails in normal use we repair or replace the ladder at our cost, including carriage both ways.
What it does not cover:
- normal wear — feet, labels, surface marks
- impact, crushing or transport damage after delivery
- a ladder used beyond its published maximum load
- a ladder used against its intended purpose, modified, or repaired by someone else
- corrosion caused by storage in standing water or contact with cement, lime or chemicals
To claim, email alpercpro@gmail.com with your order number and photographs of the defect. Keep your order confirmation — no registration is required, it is your proof of purchase.
9. Using the ladder safely
A ladder is a working-at-height product. You are responsible for using it correctly.
- Set it at roughly 75 degrees — one metre out for every four metres up.
- Never stand on the top three rungs.
- Extend it section by section and check that each section has locked before you climb. Shake it hard from the ground first.
- Fold it one section at a time, hands on the outside of the stiles, never wrapped around a rung.
- Do not use it on soft, uneven or slippery ground, in strong wind, or near live electrical lines.
- The maximum load is the total of you, your clothing, your tools and anything you carry up.
10. Our liability
We are liable for foreseeable loss caused by our breaking these terms or failing to use reasonable care.
We are not liable for loss that was not foreseeable, for business losses, or for loss caused by using a ladder in a way these terms tell you not to.
Nothing here limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot be limited by law.
11. Complaints and disputes
Email alpercpro@gmail.com first. We answer.
As a trader established in France, we are required to offer access to a consumer mediator: [A COMPLETER — nom, adresse postale et site de l'organisme de mediation]. Mediation is free for you.
You may also use the European Commission's online dispute resolution platform.
12. Law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction. If you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland you may bring proceedings in your own courts. This does not affect the mandatory consumer protections of the country where you live.
13. Changes
We may change these terms. The version that applies to your order is the one published when you ordered.
