Folded, it is 109 cm long and 48 cm wide. It goes under a bed, on a garage shelf, in a car boot.
A ladder spends most of the year not being climbed. If it does not fit somewhere out of the way, it lives in the way.
Each section slides down into the one below it, so 6.2 m collapses to the height of the bottom section. We print that number on every page — almost nobody else does.

Two locking clips on every rung.
Two clips lock each rung as it comes up. You hear the click, you climb.
The lock is the only part standing between you and the ground. Folding under load is the fear that stops people buying telescopic at all.
Coming down, you release the clips one section at a time. Nothing drops on its own, and the descent stays in your hands.

Thick-walled alloy. It weighs what a ladder rated for 150 kg should weigh.

How do I know a section is properly locked?
Each section locks as it reaches its stop. Where the manufacturer has confirmed the exact mechanism, it is written out in the specification table on this page.
The habit worth keeping whatever ladder you own: once it is up and leaning, shake it hard from the ground before you put a foot on it.
What does the maximum load figure actually mean?
This ladder is rated for 150 kg. That is the total it carries: you, your clothes, your boots, your tools and whatever you take up with you. Not just your body weight.
Which leaves room. A 95 kg person with a full tool belt is still well inside 150 kg.
The figure in the specification table is the manufacturer's rating, and it is the same 150 kg across the range.
Is a telescopic ladder as stable as a normal one?
It is, on two conditions that apply to any ladder. Extend the sections you are using all the way — never stop halfway on a section that has not locked. And set the angle at roughly 75 degrees: the foot stands out from the wall about a quarter of the height it reaches.
On soft, sloping or uneven ground that angle matters more than anything else about the ladder.
What does the guarantee cover, and what does it not?
Two years, on the parts that carry you: the rung locking mechanisms, the stiles and rungs, the rivets, pins and clips, and the feet and hooks. If one of them fails in normal use, we repair or replace the ladder.
It does not cover normal wear, impact damage, or a ladder used beyond its rated load. Nothing there is unusual — it is what any guarantee on a climbing product covers.
This is on top of your rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, and does not replace them.
Do I need to register the guarantee anywhere?
No. There is nothing to fill in and no form to send back.
Your order confirmation is the proof of purchase. Keep it, that is all.
What if I pick the wrong size or model?
Send it back within 30 days and we refund you. Returns are free: the pre-paid label is in the packaging, and you do not have to give a reason.
That covers the wrong length as much as a change of mind. A ladder that turns out too short is exactly the case this is for — and it is a common one, because most sellers never print the folded height or the weight.

Who do I contact if something goes wrong?

Will it fit in my car?
The folded height is printed on every product page in centimetres, right next to the weight. Measure your boot with the seats down and compare the two numbers before you order.
It is the figure most sellers leave out, and it is the one that decides whether the ladder is any use to you.
Is it aluminium or stainless steel?
Aluminium. You will see telescopic ladders advertised as stainless steel — sometimes by the same shop selling the same ladder both ways, at two different prices.
A stainless steel ladder of this length would weigh roughly three times as much. The weight printed on this page is the proof. Compare it to anything sold to you as steel.
What about my fingers when I fold it?
This is the real complaint about telescopic ladders, and almost nobody selling them will tell you. Bring the ladder down one section at a time, with your hands on the outside of the stiles — never wrapped around a rung.
Done that way it is a non-issue. Done in a hurry, it is a trapped finger.
Which height do I actually need?
As a rule you can work about a metre above the highest rung you stand on. A 3.8 m ladder reaches a single-storey gutter comfortably; a two-storey gutter needs 5 m or more.
